Jammu, Dec 27: The annual 4th open inter- district U.T level (Men and Women) Tug-of-war championship organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Tug-Of-War Association gets underway at Unique Public Hr. Sec. School, Gadi Garh, Jammu here today.
In all, ten teams (Men) and Eight teams (Women) are taking part in this league-cum-knock out event. The championship was declared open by General Secretary of the Association S. Jodh Singh Isher. Earlier, chairman of Unique Public Hr. Sec. School,Gadi Garh, Jammu S. Jasbir Singh welcomed the distinguished gathering and presented a brief note on the competition. In his note he highlighted the achievements of the Tug-of-war Association at the Union Territory level for a long time which encouraged the youth who participated at the National and International level. Prominent among those present were A R Anger (Kasmir) Nirlep Kour (Principal & Vice Chairperson), Jagdish Sharma (Administrator) , Ravinder Singh , Gourav Dubey , Neha Chib , Sunil Kumar and Harpreet Kour . |
