Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 29: National Development Foundation on Sunday held deliberations on Child Rights at a workshop organised here at a programme. The sensitisation programme was organised for media professionals on Juvenile Justice Act, ICPS and role of media in advocating for child rights and child protection legislations. Chief Operating Officer of NDF Neha Gandotra presented overview of foundation's work. Flanked by Rajiv Khajuria, founder Emeritus, NDF and Vikram Srivastava, founder IThought, Delhi and journalists from Jammu representing different media houses, discussed about child rights, juveniles, role of police, judiciary and civil society under Juvenile Justice Act. They also held discussions on role of media in advocating for child rights and effective implementation of child protection legislations including JJ Act, POCSO, CLPRA and ICPS, do's and don'ts for media reporting on children. |
