Jammu, Dec 29: An Exposure visit of 48 farmers from Marh, R. S. Pura, Akhnoor and Dansal Sub-Divisions of Jammu District was flagged off by Director Agriculture Jammu, Inder Jeet, KAS from the Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan, Jammu, today.
The five Days Training Visit to CSK Himachal Pradesh Krishi-Vishav-Vidayalaya (CSKHPKVV) Palampur has been arranged under CAPEX plan. Director Agriculture Jammu while interacting with the farmers on the occasion said that the exposure visit is being organized for acquainting the farmers in Integrated Farming Systems including Organic Farming, Mushrooms Growing, Beekeeping, Animal Rearing, Vermi-composting, Vegetable Cultivation and Cultivation of Spices and Medicinal Plants. He advised the farmers to interact with the scientists and research workers to get the clarifications regarding latest techniques being adopted in the farming. He further asked the farmers to utilize the technology in their fields after learning from such trainings and also share it with fellow farmers. |
