| Repairing of Ligri irrigation Khul demanded | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Dec 29: The inhabitants of remote Ligri Panchayat of Padder block in Kishtwar District are demanding immediate restoration and repairment of the irrigation Khul as a result of which the agricultural and other related activities are suffering badly. As per the details available with Early Times, the people of Village Ligri along with concern Sarpanch Anju Devi approach the Dy Com. Kishtwar with the request to take necessary initiatives for restoration of Irrigation Khul without any further delay. They inform the DC Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana that their is need of around 20 PVC pipes of 8 inch Dia for restoration of the Khul. They inform him that the tendering process will further delay the restoration of the Khul that will further aggregate the problems of the local farmers and requested him to order for departmental execution of the work by engaging local seasonal workers engaged on this Khul so that they get their due wages which has not paid to them since long.
After giving patience hearing to the issues raised by the public, DC Kishtwar directed Joint Director Planning to take up the matter with concern officials and ensure that the problem could be addressed as soon as possible. |
