Ajit Colony residents call on Tehsildar Jammu West | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 7: A deputation of residents of Ajit Colony Extension and adjoining localities led by Harcharan Singh, Chairman Welfare Committee called on Rajesh Baru, Tehsildar Jammu West at Revenue Complex. According to press release the deputation apprised him of their objections, worries and restlessness caused by issuing of corrigendum by Collector, Land Acquisition, JDA, Jammu vide no DIP/3-4092-P Dt: 4-1-2020. The residents said that as per the corrigendum to JDA office No. JDA/CLA/442-49 dated 14-12-2018 as published in local dailies some 2603 Kanal of land in respect of village Gole is to be acquired under J&K Land Acquisition Act. It is very surprising that the entire area is fully developed with dense population and huge buildings have been constructed on the Khasras in question. The residents strongly object to this anti-people move of the authorities to acquire private land with a fully developed built-up area. The residents of these areas urge the Lieutenant Governor, concerned Advisor, Divisional Commissioner and Development Commissioner to look into this issue personally and withdraw the anti-people corrigendum aimed at acquiring their land. |
