| Oil tankers & LPG Union conclude its 2 days visit | | |

Jammu, Jan 11: S. Ranjit Singh Raina , President of All J&K Oil and LPG Tank Truck Drivers Union along with General Secretary S. Davinder Singh , Sohan Singh Member Rajinder Singh Member Harasis Singh member of the union today concluded their two days visit at Jammu Srinagar National Highway . During their visit team members of the union visited Kud - Batote road stretch of the highway and found that there was long queues of Tank trucks and other heavy vehicle due to snow and closure of the highway. While interacting with the drivers and cleaners of the stranded vehicles of the between the Kud Patnitop road . They were informed by the drivers that they are struck in the long jam for 5 to 6 days and unfortunately the administration paid no heed towards their sufferings . The visiting team also observed that these drivers and cleaners had not even taken bath and food for days together. On this road for the stranded vehicles there is not even any facility for washrooms etc. which is basic need of every human being.
The team also noticed that other than the weather the apathy of the Govt. is main reason for which these drivers are compelled to live in a sub human condition. |
