Early Times Report RAMBAN, Jan 11: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Ramban, Anita Sharma, today inaugurated Road Safety Week long celebrations at Ramban besides flagging off an awareness rally organized by Motor Vehicle Department in this connection at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Ramban. ADDC, Nawab Din, ACR, Harbans Lal, CMO, Dr. Janak Lal, Medical Superintendent DH Ramban, Dr. JP Singh. Dy. SP, Ajay Anand, ARTO, Shafkat Majeed, staff members and students of host and other school were present on the occasion. The rally was taken out from GHSS Ramban and after passing through the main market finally culminated at same place where the students and participants threw light on importance of safety rules needed to be followed while driving on the road. The Rally remained quite symbolic and disciplined and gave a strong message regarding road safety. While speaking on the occasion SSP highlighted the different aspects of road safety and importance of wearing seat belts and helmets in saving life of an individual. ADDC stressed the need of strict adherence to the traffic norms and assured full cooperation from district administration to disseminate awareness about road safety rules and regulations. ARTO Ramban informed that during the ongoing road safety week, the MVD Ramban shall organize various awareness programmes apart from checking of vehicles across the district. |
