BBIA delegation interacts with Manoj Kumar Dwivedi | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 11: A Delegation of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) under the Chairmanship of Lalit Mahajan met Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner/Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, at his office chamber today in the presence of Tarun Singla, Sr. Vice President, Ajay Langer Vice President, Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary and Rajesh Jain Secretary BBIA. During the course of discussions, Mahajan welcome Manoj Kumar Dwivedi, Commissioner/ Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department and draws his kind attention is towards the nonavailability of State Fiscal Incentives to the New Units and the Units under Substantial Expansion resulting sharp decline in the Industrial Growth since last two and half years after the adoption of GST as per the data available. The position is more serious as due to nonavailability of the Job Avenues in State, the Educated Youths have no option but to shift to other parts of the Country to earn their Bread and Butter and it will also put an adverse impact on the Skill Development Programme implemented by the Central Govt. under the dynamic leadership of our Prime Minister as the skill-based Job Avenues not available in our State. It is pertinent to mention here that Industrialization is the backbone of the Employment to local youths but as on date our State is lacking far behind in comparison to other States and it is the need of the hour to provide the Fiscal Incentives to attract Investment in the coming days. During the course of the discussion, Mahajan further draws the kind attention towards the Central Package of Incentives which is under the active consideration of Govt. of India and it is the need of the hour that Govt. of India should provide financial assistance in the shape of Fiscal Incentives for the survival of the Existing Industrial Sector and also to attract New Investment in our state on long term basis keeping in the mind that our state is passing through stiff Hostile Conditions for the last 30 years, Landlocked State with the limited availability of Raw Materials, Shallow Marketing Avenues, additional cost for the incoming Raw Materials and outgoing Finished Products of the Industrial Units to other parts of the Country.
