HMMU hosts Job fair: Over 20 companies participate in 2 day event

jAMMU, Jan 15: Himayat Mission Management Unit (HMMU) in collaboration with Hardshell Technologies Pvt Ltd today organized two- day job fair here, witnessing participation of over twenty private sector companies and agencies.
The event was launched by Secretary, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, J&K, Sheetal Nanda in presence of Chief Operating Officer, HMMU, Jammu Kashmir, State Rural Livelihood Mission (JKSRLM) Kapil Sharma.
The officials of HMMU, National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS) and various project implementing agencies were also present.
Around 529 candidates are expected to participate in the job fair and those selected would be offered on spot appointments by the employers.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheetal Nanda said that the government would continue to organize such events to provide job opportunities to youth trained under Himayat. She urged the youth, present on the occasion, to channelize their potential and make optimum use of acquired skills to benefit from the vast opportunities available in the private sector. She advised them to opt for the jobs which suit to their aspirations, interest and personality. She urged the participating candidates to avail the opportunities being offered by different companies for shaping their career.
Over 20 reputed companies including Amazon Pay; Sarovar Hotels & Resorts; Mahindra & Mahindra; ISS Facility Services India Pvt. Ltd; Coral Knowledge, Plus KaryaBron Pvt Ltd; G4S Securities; Burgerwalas; Magic Pin, Shoppers Stop; V Protect and others are participating in the event.
In his address, Chief Operating Officer, Himayat, Kapil Sharma, expressed gratitude to the officials and Companies for their valuable contribution in supplementing the efforts of Himayat Mission Management Unit in providing employment to youth.
Director Hardshell Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Ajit Prabhakar also spoke on the occasion and appreciated the efforts of Himayat Mission Management Unit for providing youth a platform to explore better employment avenues available in the country.
Pertinently, Himayat-DDUGKY is implemented on Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode by Project Implementing Agencies empanelled with Ministry of Rural Development.
