NAGROTA, Jan 29: Motherland Public School today celebrated Annual day where Davinder Singh Rana National Conference Provincial President was the chief guest on the occasion . Exhorting teachers to impart quality education and instil good qualities in students from the nascent stage, National Conference Provincial President Devender Singh Rana today called for close parent-teacher synergy in setting goal for children as per their aptitude. “While students at tender age crave for extra attention, the teachers in basic level schools can prove to be agents of change as far as academics and career building of younger generation is concerned", Rana said while addressing the Annual Day function of Motherland Public School at Bamyal in Nagrota Assembly Constituency. The Provincial President stressed the need for creating an atmosphere wherein young people flourish in a healthy academic and competitive environment, which will enable them to shoulder their responsibilities with a sense of commitment. In this context, he referred to the useful role of teachers in shaping young minds on positive note and getting them out of the negative influences. “The parents will have to cooperate and supplement these efforts”, he maintained. Earlier, the Principal of the School Rajni Devi presented annual report, highlighting various achievements and academic odyssey of students with distinction. He said the school has been endeavouring to give its best to the students belonging to cross section of society in all spheres of academic and extra-curricular activities. Besides parents of the students, prominent among those present on the occasion included Rameshwar Dutt, Block President, Nagrota, Sarpanch Bamyal Ghulam Mustafa, Bashir Kohli, Manzoor, Randeep Singh, Ashok Kumar, Vinod Kumar, Showkat Hussain, Rehmat Ali, Kartar Chand, Rakesh Kumar and others.
