National artists’ workshop by JKCCA concludes

Jammu, Feb 2: Three days’ national artists’ workshop organized by Jammu & Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA) in collaboration with J&K Tourism Department, Jammu at Tourism Complex, Mansar in Samba District of Union Territory of J&K, concluded.
A valedictory ceremony was organized where Zafar Iqbal Manhas, former MLC and Ex- Vice- President of J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages was the chief guest on this occasion. A number of intellectuals, artists and art lovers attended the ceremony.
Fifteen artists of different states of the country viz. Dr. A K Dixit and Sireesha Srinivas (New Delhi), Ashwami Sharma and Aziz Verma, Pathankot, K S Gill and Dharminder Sharma, Amritsar (Punjab), Archana Choudhary, Madhubani (Bihar) and Deepa Soni, Udhampur, Gulshan Kumar, Kathua, Tariq Saifi, Surankote, Kunain Zubair, Srinagar, Ashok Mehra, Kamalnain Bhan, O P Sharma and Jang S. Verman, Jammu (Jammu & Kashmir).
O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA told that the organization would organize an art workshop at Basohli and an International Art Exhibition will be held in the near future.
Zafar Iqbal Manhas said the artists are above the lines of caste, creed, religion and boundaries of the countries and who are selflessly committed to add to the flavor of humanism.
He appreciated Sh. O P Sharma, Director, JKCCA for taking pains to keep the activities of art & culture with high zeal & spirit.
