Kishtwar, Feb 2: The functioning of ICDS department is getting suffered due to absence of DPO Kishtwar as the post has been lying vacant since 2015, the locals of Kishtwar appealed to the Lieutenant Governor to take note of the issue and urged him to direct concerned department to appoint the officer. The ICDS Kishtwar, which comes under the ambit of Social Welfare Department, has been functioning without DPO, which is senior post.
There are eight projects, which are running in Kishtwar under the supervision of CDPOs.
Locals alleged that CDPOs are not working properly due to absence of DPO. Anganwari centres are not being taken care of by the CDPOs. Locals appealed to LG to fill up post of DPO at the earliest so that functioning of Anganwaris may not suffer any longer.
