JAMMU, Feb 2: In an alleged harassment case, the employees of Surinsar Mansar Development Authority (SMDA) sought intervention of Secretary Tourism Department, Union Territory of J&K. According to a copy of complaint making rounds on social media, reads, “It is to bring to your kind notice that we the employees of SMDA are facing problems in smooth functioning of the office work due to harassment, misbehave and use of unparliamentary language by the CEO, SMDA Nagendra Singh Jamwal. Due to pressure, we are not able to work efficiently.” “He always kept all the employees under pressure and used to dictate the letters and other office work late hours in the evening. He also calls us on all gazetted holidays/Sundays for useless work. Due to harassment and misbehave, we the employees are getting mentally disturbed from the date of joining,” the copy reads. If further reads, “He also use to say that who the bloody officer has promoted you. We have also rendered our services in Directorate of Tourism with overall satisfaction of our higher authorities. Keeping in view of the above facts, it is humbly requested to your good self to kindly either transfer Nagendra Singh Jamwal, CEO or transfer us in Directorate of Tourism, Jammu, so that we may not suffer further mental harassment.”
