Second Batch of PEP commences at GCOE

JAMMU, Feb 3: After the successful completion of the first batch , second batch of Productivity Enhancement Programme (PEP) begins today, at the Govt. College of Education, Jammu .
Dr. Sangita Nagari, Principal GCOE, in her welcome address stated that honourable Secretary has given new dimensions to the department and such a training to the teachers will foster their productivity further. She applauded the resource persons for the success of the first batch and also highlighted the valuable lessons that the participants are going to learn in the coming days for leading a peaceful and healthy life. Dr. Simmi Dutta (HOD Computer, GCET) is the overall incharge and Dr. Shubhra Jamwal , GCOE is the Nodal officer of the course.
Secretary Higher Education Janab Talat Parvez Rohella , Higher Education Department, J&K Govt. has recently launched four new schemes for the department which includes Productive Enhancement, Employability Skills, Induction Programme and IT Domain. Productivity Enhancement Programme is a special programme designed to increase the productivity of faculty members of the Higher Education Department.
This course includes time management, effective handling of stress at work place, organising self, attitudinal shift, decision making, relaxation and clarity of mind through meditation, instilling a sense of responsibility towards the institution, students and colleagues. Secretary Janab Rohella is the first person to bring in this change in the minds of teachers fraternity through this programme.
