| Director HDD inaugurates handloom expo "Woven Heritage" | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 3: Director Handloom Development Department Babita Rakwal along with Joint Director Pardeep Manhas officially inaugurated district level handloom expo 2019-2020 "Woven Heritage"at City Palace, Jammu.
On this occasion, nodal officer Assistant Director Handloom Jammu Sonika Parihar and Assistant Director Handloom Udhampur N.D.Verma along with implementing Agency Jan Kalyan Handloom WICS welcomed the Dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Director suggested the weavers to make the products with focused approach and popularize the craft of Jammu on handloom fabrics. She appealed the people to visit the said expo and purchase the genuine products. Master weaver Butta Ram also gave a live demonstration on loom, which was appreciated by the Director. She also interacted with other weavers. The Event has been organized for seven days from 02 February to 08 February. |
