Jammu, Feb 3: “We The Human Forum for Nature and Mankind” a Charitable Public Trust today resolved to plant two thousand traditional varieties of trees in J&K during the year 2020.
It was also decided to conduct more number of awareness programmes on environmental issues including climate change, solid waste management, Indian Farming System, rain water harvesting, adulteration in food & milk, gender disparity, drug abuse for students in schools and colleges, especially in rural & semi urban areas of J&K.
It was decided that the trust members shall work more actively to propogate the idea of clean and green environment. The twenty members new executive body of the trust was also announced. Y S ManhasRetdPpl district & session judge was installed as the Chairman, Lalit Sharma IFS (Retd) as Vice Chairman cum Technical Secretary, S. Prem Singh as Chief Spokesperson, Dr Audil Farooq Mir as President, K. K. Sharma RetdDir Floriculture as Chairman editorial Board, Prof Haroon Rashid Naik HOD Food Technology SKUAST, Prof Anil Bhat SKUAST and Dr Parvini Sharma Shoolini University Solan as Technical Advisors, Mushtaq Ahmad Shah and eminent educationist Shilpa Mahajan as Vice Presidents, Anil Gupta General Secretary, PreetiParihar and AsiyaMushtaq as Secretaries, PavitraPanth as Office Secretary and Mehar Fatima as Spokesperson. Whereas, Prof SadiqNargal, Retd Chief Engineer I A Hammal, VipanBhasin, Guldev Singh, S. Ajab Singh, Mohinder Kumar were among elected as members of the new executive body. |
