Marwah villagers demanded restoration of damaged bridge

Kishtwar, Feb 5: The deputation of Marwah villagers led by Sarpanch Qadeena B, Amjad Lone today called upon the Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar and urged him for immediate restoration of the bridge over Marrusudar river over a year ago.
As per the details available with Early Times, the Sarpanch Amjad Lone inform DC Kishtwar that the Humdando bridge suffered massive damages in last year snowfall added that since then they are regularly approaching various quarters for its immediate restoration as the bridge provided an easy access to the Sub Divisional Headquarter at Nawapachi Marwah added that in absence of the bridge, the half hour normal journey for the people of Renie village by foot to Nawapachi took around four hours. He further inform DC Kishtwar that the people are suffering lot with respect to transportation of essential commodities as well as domestic animals to grazing fields and requested him for immediate directions to forest department for restoration of the bridge.
After giving patience hearing to the the demand raised by the villagers, DC Kishtwar direct Session Officer Planning Department for furnishing of estimates with regard to the restoration of the bridge so that same could be executed through forest department.
Among others Ghulam Hussain Lone, Abdul Gani Lone, Altaf Hussain, Habibullah, Mohammad Ramzan Lone, Mohammad Shafiq and others also accompanied the Sarpanch.
