KVK Samba conducted “Mega Poultry Event 2020”

Samba, Feb 3: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Samba organized Mega Poultry Event 2020 on 05-02-2020 for the benefit of the farming community. The event was organised to improve the knowledge of farmers regarding poultry business. In this event, all the stakeholders who are involved in poultry farming such as farmers, chick providers (Hatchery), about 15 companies of the national and International repute like Feed companies, Medicine companies, Government Animal Husbandry Department. The programme was conducted under the direction of Dr. K.S.Risam, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu and was attended by more than 400 poultry farmer of different district of Jammu province.
Chief Guest of this mega event Dr. R. K. Gupta, Director Research, SKUAST Jammu inaugurated the Exhibition – Mega Poultry Event 2020 and declared the programme open. In his address, he impressed upon that Jammu and Kashmir is having a greater potential in poultry development.
Dr. Vinod Gupta, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Samba and organiser of this event in his address stressed upon the farmers that Poultry Industry has a better scope and farmers needs to unite throughout the district and Jammu province as well to solve their problems so efforts from all the stakeholders can bring a boom to this poultry Industry.
At the end of programme, the formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Sanjay Khajuria.
