2nd Martyrdom Day of Hav Roshan Lal observed

Jammu, Feb 5: Second Martyrdom Day of Havildar Roshan Lal who sacrificed his life for the nation observed at his Memorial situated in at Govt High School Nichla with full patriotic flavour. The Sub Division Magistrate Ghagwal Sh. Ramkesh Sharma KAS was Chief Guest of the day and SHO Ghagwal Sh. Sudhir Sadotra was guest of honour. SDM unfurled National Flag at the memorial and both the officers paid tributes to the Martyr by laying down wreath. Dozens of people including Sarpanches, Panchs, students, teachers, paid tributes to the Martyr. The ongoing tournament in the memory of Havildar Roshan Lal concluded with second semifinal and finals matches.
Second semifinal was played between Chhajju Ram Sports Club Gurah Mundian and SSG Hiranagar. Gurah Mundian outplayed SSG by 2-1 sets. In final, Chajju Ram Sports Club Gurah Mundian won first two sets out of 5 against Punjab Taloor. Later, the Punjab Taloor succeeded to win all next sets. Hence, Punjab Taloor lifted the Roshan Volleyball Cup by 3-2 sets.
SDM, SHO, Asha Devi,(NOK) distributed cash prizes of RS. 11000/- and 7000/- to the Winner and Runner Up teams respectively.
Uttam Singh, Ganesh Dass, Raj Kumar, Vijay Sharma, Narinder Choudhary, Sohan Singh, Jagdish Chander of Youth Services and Sports Department officiated the matches.
