Imposter booked for issuing fake transfer orders

JAMMU, Feb 6: Crime Branch Jammu registered a criminal case against Rakesh Singh S/o Kehar Singh R/o Jattan De Kothe, Khour, Distt.Jammu for arranging fake and fabricated transfer orders in respect of Narayan Singh S/o Krishan Singh R/o Manchak Jourian Akhnoor, Physical Education Teacher Govt. Middle School Chapper, Tehsil Hiranagar, Distt. Kathua and others while duping them of their hard earned money.
The complainant was duped by the accused of his money on the pretext of managing his transfer to Govt. School Tallab Tilloo area in District Jammu.
The case owes its origin to a complaint lodged by Rajnish Kumar, Additional Secretary, Youth Services & Sports Department, which stated that the Directorate of Youth Services & Sports brought it to their notice that a Govt. Order bearing No.146-Edu (YSS) of 2017 dated 26-12-2017, regarding the transfer of one Narayan Singh, Physical Education Teacher, required verification for its authenticity. As per the records, no such order was issued by the Department and the matter was referred to Crime Branch for probe.
On receipt of the complaint, preliminary verification was initiated by Crime Branch, Jammu and during the course of enquiry the allegations were substantiated against the accused and it was found that the accused has duped the complainant of his hard earned money on the pretext of managing his transfer after issuing orders purportedly signed by Under Secretary to Govt. Youth Services and Sports Department Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir, Civil Secretariat Jammu. A formal case has been registered and investigation set in motion.
