Oxford Path school celebrates annual sports day

Jammu, Feb 5: Oxfordpath Playway school Pounichak celebrated annual sports day. The sports meet was declared open with the Gayatri Mantra followed with house songs by the principal , Anita Kumari Ambardar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman Basanti Ambardar said that the motto of the institution is not only to excel in academics but also to provide a platform to the students in curricular and co-curricular activities.
The purpose of the sports and cultural meet is to build self-confidence and team spirit in the students; this is a part of character-molding Integral Education propounded by Sri Aurobindo .
This leads to all round development of the students’ personalities.
The sports items included Running race, Spoon marble race, Frog jumping, Sake race, Single leg race , Balloon bursting , Musical chair, , Thang- Ta , Kabbadi , Badminton, Chess, Kho Kho, Skipping , Tug of War ,etc
On the occasion, Chairperson Basanti Ambardar said that the school has excelled in almost all the spheres, be it academic, sports or cultural.
As many as 45 medals were awarded to the students on the occasion.
