jammu, Feb 6: As part of the process for issuance of Environment Clearance for Sand Mining at Sardhan Nallah Bajalta, Jammu J&K Pollution Control Board today conducted Public Hearing for Block Numbers 24 (2/16) and 25(2/17) in Sardhan Nallh.
The Public Hearing was conducted in presence of Representative of District Commissioner Jammu, Divisional Officer J&&K PCB Jammu South Mr A B Jandial and Representative of Regional Director PCB Jammu. Local People of village Athen, village Tootan Di Khoi and Village Phargan who will be effected by the sand mining of Sardhan Nallh actively participated in the Public Hearing. They expressed their views very forcefully and highlighted their points for consideration during mining. Their views will be part of the report of the Public Hearing. Consultant who made the Environment Plan for the Environmentally friendly Sand Mining was also present during the Public Hearing. He clarified the doubts raised by the Public during the Public Hearing.
