| One arrested with popy straw | | |
Katra, Feb 7: In continuation to the drive against drug abuse in the holy town Katra, Katra Police laid a special naka at Moori and during naka checking Katra Police recovered three kg Bhuki from the possession of drug peddler.
The arrested person has been identified as driver Ranjit Singh son of Gandharb Singh resident of village Jaranu-Bhaga Tehsil and District Reasi. “He was coming towards Katra town from Jammu alongwith vehicle (winger) bearing registration No.JK20-2768 and arrested on spot. A case FIR No 23/2020 U/S 8/15 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Katra against him”, sources said, adding that the arrest and recovery is made by SHO PS Katra Inspector Pardeep Gupta assisted by SI Suman Singh I/C TAG Katra under the supervision of SDPO Katra Vivek Shekhar-JKPS, ASP Katra Naresh Singh, JKPS and close supervision of SSP Reasi Rashmi Wazir, JKPS. |
