JU Makes Debut on Social Media, launches its Twitter Handle

Jammu, Feb 7: Adhering to the guidelines of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, University of Jammu today expanded its presence on digital platform, by launching its Twitter handle @universityjammu for broadcasting information and news related to the activities of the institution. The handle was inaugurated by Prof Manoj Dhar, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu who expressed the hope that various stakeholders including students, teachers, alumni and members of the civil society will credibly help the University to build its equity.
Twitter adds a new dimension to the Institutions endeavours to be more visible locally as well as globally and provides impetus to creating more effective mechanisms to deliver up to date news, interesting content and relevant information to our target audiences, said Prof Dhar.
Twitter account will connect the university with all higher education institutions, students, teachers and other stakeholders to publicize achievements of the institution regularly.
Among others Prof Kulwant Singh, Convener, Media Committee and members of the Committee comprising of Prof Parkash Anathal, Prof Seema Langar, Dr Anil Gupta, Sh Ranjeet Kalra and Dr Vinay Thusoo were also present on the occasion.
