Plantation drive launched by Social Forestry Poonch

MENDHAR, Feb 7: The Social Forestry Division Poonch of the Forests Department launched aplantation drive through District and Session judge Madan Lal and Mobile Judge Javid Choudhary, D. F. O social forestry Navid Iqbal and others.
A campaign of massive tree plantation taken up where Session Judge Poonch Madan Lal planted tree and said that as a part of this event there would be massive tree plantation in the District.
Also there would be plantation along the rivers and to begin with area near the river will be taken up as these places have huge potential. The purpose of the plantation drive was to make Poonch green and beautify the landscape to clean up the environment and make it dust free.
Where as Mobile Judge Javid Choudhary Hakla planted ceremonial tree on ITI Complex Poonch and said that plants should be loved like children and cared for in the same manner like parents take care of their children.
As after some years, these plants will become big trees, which are of immense benefit to mankind and our environment," he said.
"In order to promote social forestry, the youth throughout the district should be associated to forestation plans,' he said.
Moreover DFO Social Forestry Division Poonch expressed that people from every walk of life should realize their responsibilities and come forward to take part in the drive and district administration would facilitate them so that the district's eco-friendly environment could be developed.
He hoped that the government could touch the task of planting trees in the district with cooperation of people belonging to all walks of life of district .
