BANDIPORA, Feb 8: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested two persons involved in pasting provocative posters of banned militant out-fit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in Hajin area, while as four missing teenagers were handed over to families in Bandipora district of this north Kashmir district. During a press conference Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bandipora Rahul Malik said that two persons involved in pasting posters were arrested from Hajin and two laptops have also been recovered from them. He said that they used to paste posters of LeT at various spots in Hajin for inciting common masses against the police and State of India. The SSP said that on a specific tip off police raided several places in Hajin and busted an OGW module behind it and recovered incriminating material from them. “We have also seized two laptops on which the accused used to create those posters and then paste to disrupt peace in the area,” he said. He said that the accused have been identified as Irfan Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Aziz Bhat a resident of Syed Mohalla, Hajin and Asif Ahmad Parrey son of Abdul Khaliq Parrey a resident of Parrey Mohalla Hajin. “Asif is a shopkeeper by profession.” Irfan is a student while Asif was a sim card retailer running a shop by the name Sagar Tele Communications. They have been booked under FIR 06/2020 u/s 13 ULA 506 IPC at police station Hajin. Officials said that a lot of incriminating materials including fake election cards, fake driving licenses, fake RCs and sim-cards have also been recovered from their possession. They said that further investigations into the matter were going on. Meanwhile J&K police today said that four teenage boys from Bandipora district, who were missing from last three days, have been traced in Udhampur district and all the four boys were handed over to their family members. SSP Bandipora, Rahul Malik said four teenage boys identified as Kaan Fayaz, son of Fayaz Ahmad 13, Amir Mushtaq, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Beigh 14, Fayaz Khan, son of Muhammad Maqbool Khan 14, residents of Kaloosa Bandipora and Abid Sulaimani, son of Mohd Kalwa 16, resident of Bejnor U.P went missing on 5 February. “Police Station Bandipora received a written compliant regarding missing of four teenagers on 05 February,” he said, adding that an investigation team was formed and manhunt was launched to trace the missing teenagers. He further stated that the team yesterday succeeded in tracing the boys from Udhampur district of Jammu region, saying that the boys were handed over to their relatives and further investigation in this regard is going on. |
