MHA handed over Nagrota encounter case to NIA: Sources | | | agencies new delhi, Feb 8: The Nagrota encounter case in which three militants were killed has been handed over to the National Investigating Agency (NIA), sources at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) said . Security forces on Friday gunned down three suspected Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terrorists and arrested three overground workers (OGW) after police intercepted a truck carrying the militants at a toll plaza at Nagrota on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. A policeman was also injured in the encounter that took place on January 31. Sameer Ahmed Dar was driving the truck ferrying 3 Jaish terrorists and two over ground workers (OGW). The investigation agency is now focused on the interrogation of Sameer Ahmed Dar who was caught alive from the encounter site on January 31, sources told India Today TV. "Sameer Ahmed Dar is the cousin of the February 2019 Pulwama suicide bomber Adil Dar. Sameer was nabbed by police when he was trying to escape from Nagrota after Jaish terrorists opened fire on the security forces," they said.
