National Lok Adalat settles 188 cases

POONCH, Feb 8: A National Lok Adalat was organized today at District Court Poonch in which Judicial Officers, Bar Members, Bank Employees, litigants and general public participated with full enthusiasm.
Two benches were constituted for the said purpose. First bench was presided by Madan Lal Chairman DLSA (Pr. Distt &Sessions Judge) Poonch and second bench was presided by Som Lal CJM (Chairman TLSC Poonch) and assisted by Advocate Mohd Aslam Chouhan.
At Surankote the bench was presided by Ashan-ul-Haq Malik(Chairman TLSC/ Sub- Judge Surankote) assisted by Shafiq Ahmed Additional Mobile Magistrate Surankote.
Similarly, at Mendhar the bench was presided by Raj Kumar Lalhal Chairman TLSC (JMIC) Mendhar assisted by Advocate Shafiq Ahmed Khatana and Advocate Basharat Hussain Khan.
A total no of 194 cases were taken up in today’s Lok Adalat including civil, criminal, MACT, Bank Recovery, Pre-Litigation and other cases. Out of these 188 cases were settled by way of mediation, conciliation and compromise. In MACT 3 cases were settled, 26 Criminal cases, 22 civil cases were also decided and total Rs.2905280 amount was settled.
