Jammu, Feb 14: J&K Polytechnic Colleges Faculty Association met with Navin Chowdhary for redressal of their grievances, under the chairmanship of their vice president Dheeraj Angral. The Association briefed Principal Secretary Technical about Redressal of important issues in Polytechnic Sector like Low Admission, Accreditation with Industry, Placements, AICTE Norms, Regularization etc. In this context, Er. Jasdeep Kour, Member of Association focus on Implementation of Rules & Regulations of AICTE in total and in all aspects. AICTE lay down through rules and regulation for proper industrial awareness, educational standards and other requirements that the faculties working at various levels must fulfil. This is turn help the faculties to understand the Industrial requirement and use their Knowledge in upgrading the skill of the students and not deliver with something that has turned out obsolete as per the market demand. Also, AICTE vide Letter No F. No 61-1/RIFD/7th CPC/2016-17 dated 08/03/2019 and 10/12/2019 received form AICTE New Delhi regarding revision of pay of teachers and other staff members of J&K Technical Education Department. The communication also confirmed that 50% Financial Assistance will be from the Central Government in the form of reimbursement after implementation of the revision of pay scales and the payment of 100% arrears by the state and the State Government.
