Sakhi maidan to Topa village Road in shambles, Locals suffer

MENDHAR, Feb 14: The residents of Thera Topa and its adjoining areas are up in arms against the authorities for dilapidated condition of the Thera Topa village road Mendhar sub division of Poonch District.
The condition of the road is so bad that most of the motorists have stopped to ply their vehicles on the stretch. The road at many places dotted with potholes posing risk of accidents.
The locals alleged that the PMGSY has failed to undertake even minor repair work s on this vital road link to remote villages. Mohammd Ashfaq, Mohd Aslam and Bashir hussain Civil Society member stressing for the immediate repair of the road, the civil society members said if the PMGSY failed to undertake immediate repairs, they will launch an agitation against it.
Meanwhile, the locals of thera-topa village has also expressed concern over the bad condition of the road saying it has drastically affected their business. The tata sumo drivers said the public transport owners have hiked fare rates due to bad condition of the roads in the area.
The residents have urged the district administration to consider this genuine issue and start work on it at the earliest.
