Rohit Kansal, Manzoor Lone listen to public grievances at Jammu

JAMMU, Feb 14: Principal Secretary, Planning Development and Monitoring, Hospitality, Protocol, Estate, Civil Aviation and Information Department, Rohit Kansal and Secretary, Agriculture Production and Horticulture Department, Manzoor Ahmad Lone today listened to people’s issues during a daylong grievances redressal programme, here at PWD Guest House.
Several deputations and a large number of individuals from across the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, including R S Pura, Bishnah, Samba, Rajouri, Srinagar, Poonch, Udhampur, Kathua, Akhnoor, Reasi etc, met with the Administrative Secretaries and highlighted string of issues of their respective areas.
A deputation of all Jammu Hotels and Lodges Association demanded enhancement/revision of rent (tariff) and food charges in respect of Estate Department hired private hotels and lodges for move employees.
A deputation of unemployed Horticulture Graduates of Jammu Division sought their engagement as Rehbar-i-Bagbani in Horticulture Department on the pattern Rehbar-i-Zirat working in Agriculture department.
A deputation of farmers from Marh area demanded rationalization of rent for the land in use of Directorate of Agriculture since 1968. They sought immediate fulfilment of their long pending demand for settlement of enhanced rate of rent. Several other delegations and individuals also projected their demands regarding augmentation of water supply, improvement of power supply scenario, upgrading of surface connectivity and renovation of existing roads in their respective areas.
