Drugs have become epidemic in society: PDJ Reasi

Reasi, Feb 14: In an anti drug campaigning organized at Reasi District, Principal District & Sessions Judge Reasi Kamlesh Pandit said that the drugs have become an epidemic in the society. What to talk of metropolitan cities the drugs have now reached to the places where the bus is yet to reach, said Pandit. He said that the drugs have eaten the vitals of the society and is a potential threat to the world. He urged everyone to join hands for the complete eradication of the drug menace from the society.
While carrying forward its mission to serve the humanity the District Legal Services Authority, Reasi in collorabation with Global PEACE Organization today organized an anti-drug march and seminar at Reasi. After releasing the pamphlet of the campaign ‘Drug free India’ Kamlesh Pandit Principal District & Sessions Judge & Chairman District Legal Services Authority, Reasi and Indu Kanwal Chib Deputy Commissioner, Reasi jointly flagged off the march at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Reasi. Indu Kanwal Chib, the Deputy Commissioner, Reasi expressed her valuable thoughts and cautioned the children from spreading menace of drug. She said that the District Administration is shortly establishing a counselling counter at District Hospital, Reasi where the drug addicts can be treated without disclosing their identity. She also urged the students to opt for sports and report to her incase any assistance is required. Sheikh Altaf Hussain, Advocate/Chairman Global PEACE Organization emphasized for installation of hoardings in the schools, maintaining an annual drug free chart by the schools and launching door to door campaign for spreading awareness amongst the masses.
