SAMBA, Feb 14: District Police Samba foiled bovine smuggling bid in the jurisdiction of P/S Ghagwal by rescuing 12 bovines. A Police Party of P/S Ghagwal headed by SHO P/S Ghagwal under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs, Samba during routine vehicle checking Naka at NHW Tapyal, Ghagwal intercepted a Truck bearing Regd. No. JK02AC-2576 which was coming from Kathua side. During checking of the said vehicle, 12 bovines were found laden inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally without any permission. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place. The vehicle used for illegal transportation of bovines was also seized. In this regard, a case FIR No. 15/2020 U/S 188 IPC, 11 PCA Act has been registered at P/S Ghagwal and investigation started. |
