| Dy Mayor JMC chairs meeting of Standing Committee | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 14: Deputy Mayor and Chairman Housing for All, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Adv. Purnima Sharma chaired the "Housing for All" standing committee meeting. Councillor Surinder Sharma, Jagdish Kumar, Sharda Kumari, Narotam Sharma, Pritam Singh, Surinder Choudary members of the "Housing for All" standing committee also attended the meeting. The councillors raised several issues during the meeting.
A proposal was also put up by the ACR JMC that 5% of the non-plan funds are being allotted for helping a social and genuine cause. So instead of 5% atleast minimum of 10% of the non-plan funds of JMC shall be kept for helping social and genuine cause. The proposal was encouraged by all the members of the committee.
Deputy Mayor proposed that a ward wise survey by the Officials of the Housing Department along with the Councilors of the concerned ward shall be conducted from 17th Feb, 2020 so that all the issues/queries regarding the PMAY scheme of the locals of the ward may be resolved on the spot during the survey. |
