UDHAMPUR, Feb 25: Piles of garbage could be seen at the entrance of the office of Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Udhampur and the view at the spot remained the same even as the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, Girish Chander Murmu was on a visit at the DC Office’s Conference Hall which is only 10 meters away from administrative complex. “The premises were cleaned and in a hush up manner officials were not able to find a suitable place to dispose the garbage and they kept it below the stairs,” insiders informed. However, it gave a shabby look of ADDC complex main entrance and many officials, employees and others who crossed the place discussed with each other about the negligence of irresponsible officials who failed to ensure cleanliness. “If this is the case of the complex at the visit of none less that the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory what can be the state of affairs of the town,” another employee of the DC office opined on condition of anonymity. |
