Killing of cop, civilians in Delhi condemnable, Culprits must face law: Raman Suri | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 25: Expressing shock over death of seven people, including a cop and injuring of over 50 others besides burning down of properties in Monday's unprecedented violence in Northeast Delhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Executive Member J&K, Raman Suri today said that this is the most unfortunate and highly condemnable act of all those involved in such anti-social activities. He sought severest punishment for such people who reduced public property to ashes and killed people. Raman Suri said that this is most unfortunate that in the garb of CAA protest, goons resorted to violence, damaged properties, killed people and let their writ prevail on roads just to display brazen act of violence, especially on the visit of US President Donald Trump. These goons just played to the gallery for their vested interests and have nothing to do with CAA, he added. Raman Suri said that when a bill, introduced in the Parliament, gets nod of both the Houses after due debate and also gets assent of the President of India to become an Act, then spilling over roads like this is nothing but a sheer act of vandalism. He added that people have Right to knock at the court of law, ask their public representatives to take up matter with the Government and even adopt other democratic means if they are unhappy with the Act of Parliament, but killing people and damaging properties besides indulging in loot and arson is nothing but frustration, merely aimed at misleading people.
