Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 25: A Photography Workshop which opened at the Department of Applied Art at Institute of Music & Fine Arts (IMFA), University of Jammu on 24th February entered 2nd day with the exploring training in video- photography. Rakesh Negi, Principal Video Journalist with IBN 18 TV Channel, a professional photographer from New Delhi, was the resource person of the today's workshop programme. Senior artist & columnist on art & culture, Jang S. Verman was the special guest during today's workshop in which Negi made deliberations on the know- how of video- photography, technical knowledge of video cameras used in past and now, the technical aspects of shooting various events and documenting the things. In the afternoon session, focusing on practical practices with professional video- camera and other modes of digital videography tools like digital cameras used for still photography as well as for videography and other scientific aspects of video making tools were undertaken. Rakesh Sharma, HoD, Department of Applied Art, Coordinator of the workshop, artists Amarjeet Singh, Vanika Gupta, Dr. Milan Sharma, Sukhjit Singh, Jasleen Singh, Rachita Dutta, Akush Kesar and musicians Bahadur Singh and Suraj Singh were also present in the programme. |
