DDC Ramban reviews progress under NRLM

RAMBAN, Feb 25: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan today reviewed the progress under National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) Scheme in a meeting of concerned officers at conference hall here today. BDC Chairpersons, DPO, Sunil Bhutyal, BDOs, Nodal Officer NRLM Sartaj Wani, PRIs and other present on the occasion. DDC also interacted with a group of members of NRLM out of total 6800 working under programme "UMEED" of NRLM at different levels under the scheme in blocks Ramsoo and Gool. on the occasion they also sung their mission song Speaking on the occasion, the DDC stressed upon the NRLM functionaries to work in coordination with concerned departments and banks to achieve 100 percent coverage under the scheme besides involving the PRIs and other field functionaries of concerned departments to disseminate information about the scheme. Nodal Officer NRLM present a comprehensive Power Point Presentation informing the meeting about implementation of the NRLM Scheme including the coverage status of households, village organizations, Self Help Group revolving fund, rotation of money, setting community protocols, financial and physical progress, bank linkage status and social security schemes. He asked for incentivising best performing SHGs and added that the scheme has a great potential to strengthen the economic condition of the rural, therefore, special efforts needs to be done to achieve the targets
The meeting was informed that Net revolving corpus in district is 6.66 crore and savings worth Rs 85, 91200 have been made till date by SHGS. It was also informed that the RF is an amount of Rs 15000 paid by mission to each SHG which falls under grade A. The grading is conducted after every 3 months and subsequently the SHG's are federated to village organization. It was given out that 18486 households have been covered in 50 panchyats of two blocks Ramsoo and Gool under the scheme. The RF is directly deposited into the village organizations account through online process.
