Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 25: Panthers Party held its Working Committee meet under the chairmanship of Harsh Dev Singh, chairman-JKNPP & former Minister today to take stock of the present socio-political scenario in J&K UT and to chalk out the future course of action in the wake of increased role of regional parties in the political landscape across the Nation. The meeting was attended and addressed by Balwant Singh Mankotia, State President-JKNPP, Yash Paul Kundal, State President-Young Panthers, Mohd. Iqbal Choudhary, Masood Andrabi, Vice Presidents-JKNPP, Rajesh Padgotra, Provincial President (Jammu)-JKNPP, Gagan Partap Singh, Capt. Anil Gour, Rajinder Singh Maju, State Secretaries-JKNPP, Shiv Dev Singh, Provincial President (Jammu)-JKNPP, Kunwar Bali, Provincial Vice President (Jammu)-JKNPP, Vinod Singh Jamwal, District President Jammu (Urban)- JKNPP, Surinder Chouhan, District President Jammu (Rural), Robin Sharma, District President Kathua-JKNPP, Sewa Singh Bali, General Secretary-Panthers Trade Union and S. Amandeep Singh, District President Jammu (Rural)-Young Panthers. The Working Committee members had a brain storming session and dwelt at length over various pressing public issues which had failed to catch the attraction of the rulers despite their urgency. The party unanimously resolved to intensify its activities for persuading the govt. for enactment of domicile law restoration of mobile internet services, removal of Sarore Toll Plaza, disbursement of early relief to farmers affected by crop loss, withdrawal of SRO-202 early settlement of issues of DRWs, Casual workers, VDCs and SPOs, framing of policy for tractor and trolley operators affected by ban on lifting sand and gravel from rivers/nallahas, fulfillment of promises with border area dwellers besides renewed efforts for restoration of statehood to J&K. The Panthers Party Working Committee announced Yash Paul Kundal as the Chairman of Committee to offer all possible support to daily wagers agitating for their rights and assuring regularization of the services of 62,000 DRWs of various govt. departments if NPP was voted to power. Another committee under Balwant Singh Mankotia was constituted to interact with VDCs and SPOs and to explore the ways and means to get their legitimate demands fulfilled. Capt. Anil Gour was made the Incharge of the committee to examine the issues of traders, Rehri Phari walas and to ensure the projection of their genuine concerns. Rajesh Padgotra was nominated to chair the committee over the issues of Auto and Matadoor Unions, Tractor Trolley Unions and to hold regular interactions with them so as to address their concerns. Gagan Pratap Singh was made Chairman of the Committee entrusted with the issues of unemployed youth, contractual academic arrangement consolidated/adhoc employees of various govt. departments. |
