Jammu, Feb 25: Jammu &Kashmir wood ball team bagged fifteen medals with two gold, two silver and eleven bronze in the 65th National School Games held at Surguja, Chattisgarh. The Championship is being organised by CBSE Welfare Sports Organization under the aegis of School Games Federation of India (SGFI). Sheikh Zainab and Sana Sajad won gold medals in the under-17 girl’s double event. Ubaid Afzal and Ifnan Hamid won silver medals in the under-19 boys and girls event. Praising Director General Youth Services and Sports, J&K, Dr. Saleem-ur-Rehman, the participants and coaches said that the day DG has taken over the job, the department has shined at every level and is doing wonders in every sports. He made certain changes related to the participation of students like the refreshment and others that is boosting the morale of the participants from J&K now, they added. Dr Rajesh Mishra, General Secretary School Games Federation of India was the chief guest on the closing ceremony.
