Jammu, Mar 6: Police on Friday retrieved body of a Tavera driver from Chenab, a day after the vehicle plunged into the fast-flowing river in Ramban district of Jammu.
Sources said that the vehicle has been retrieved from the river and searches are going to retrieve body of the missing person. However, they said that it was not confirmed if more people had boarded the vehicle on way to Jammu.
Sources said that rescuers comprising quick response teams and police besides locals also found an Identity card of one Suresh Kumar son of Tilak Raj of Pathankote. It was after 17 hours that the vehicle was pulled out from the river, they added. |
