Jammu, Mar 6: Science Club of Govt. College for Women, Parade Ground, Jammu organised a programme to Celebrate the National Science Day today. The theme of the program was “Ecology and Wildlife”. Various events like Poster making competition, Slogan writing and Seminar, Signature campaign were carried out under the program in the college campus where student of the college participated in large number. The program was inaugurated by principal of the college, Dr. S.P. Sarswat, who highlighted the contributions made by various eminent scientists in the scientific world. Prof. B.L. Koul, former Principal and a wildlife expert was the chief guest who also delivered a lecture on wildlife conservation. Ms. Nikita of B.Sc. Semester IV was adjudged 1st in Poster Making competition, Ms. Soumaya Verma of B. Sc. Semester II was adjudged 1st in Slogan Writing whereas Ms. Riya Gupta of B. Sc. Semester II was adjudged 1st in Seminar. Dr. Pragya Khanna, the Organising Secretary of the program, delivered a formal vote of thanks. |
