JAMMU, Mar 6: Department of Environmental Sciences in collaboration with UT DRF (Disaster Response Force) organised First aid training and Mock drill as a part of the practical course: Environmental Hazards and Management which was specially meant for the students of Semester VI of the institution, Principal of college. Prof, Dr Chandor Shekhar was the chief Guest of the awareness program and was attended by faculty members and the students of the institution with great zeal and enthusiasm. The Programme was very productive and full of information as the UTDRF threw lighten and demonstrated major first aid situations like CPR(Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) i.e. how we can save a precious life through CPR in an emergency like situation.
Further, the team focused on certain other first aid measures which one can adopt during emergency like natural calamities like earthquake, fire, accidents and like on what to do when a person is bitten by snake, first aid during accident, bleeding, fracture, burn injuries and choking. |
