MAM College faculty joins fellowship on climate change in USA

JAMMU, Mar 6: Dr. Vishal Sharma working as Head, Department of Electronics, Govt. M. A. M. College Jammu, Constituent college of Cluster University of Jammu, Higher Education Department, Govt. of Jammu & Kashmir has joined prestigious Fulbright-Kalam Climate Postdoctoral Fellowship at US Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy laboratory (NREL), USA. Fulbright Fellowship is highly prestigious fellowship to foster scientific collaborations between US and India and offers international education and cultural exchange for researchers, professors and scientists to study or pursue important research projects which has the potential to revolutionize the world.
During his research visit he will be working at the Centre for Atmospheric Pocessing, NREL and focusing on to explore potential scalable methods for industrial scale production of lightweight and flexible solar cell devices which could be useful for future space explorations and to power future space stations by the space agencies like NASA, ISRO etc. Dr. Sharma said that our PM has already taken a visionary step in establishing an International Solar Alliance (ISA) Centre in India to meet the objective of solar power utilization for mitigating the effects of climate change. In this regard his research visit to US under Fulbright will be useful in instituting collaborative links between India and US in the exploitation of solar energy for the benefit of mankind and to save this planet.
