Lajwanti Medical Trust organizes awareness camp

JAMMU, Mar 6: Sheela Krishna Preventive Oncology OPD and Kaushlya Gynaecologic Palliation Center are two units of Lajwanti Medical Trust, Jammu engaged distinctly in distributing free preventive and palliative gynecologic oncology to the public of J&K Union Territory. The promoters have launched a three days campaign of educating public about screening and prevention of cancer among women between 6th to 8th March,2020 in the premises of their hospital situated at Kunjwani Bypass road opposite Greater Kailash, Jammu. The program which will be inaugurated at 6:00p.m. on Friday, the 6th of March ,2020 will derive participants out of the chauffeurs of the commercial vehicles who would signal in unison their strong commitment for creating awareness about the menace of cancer among women. Their participation ensures that the message goes to the masses that they should avail easily accessible services for early detection and prevention.
The institution will organize a lecture cum interactive session at 4:00p.m. on Sunday, the 8th of March, 2020 in the premises of their hospital. This session which is open to the public, will focus on apart from screening and prevention on the risk factors for cancer, the available facilities for treatment. To improve the access of the patient to available services and to avoid long queues in overcrowded public hospitals, the purpose of this adventure is to provide readily available services to cancer patients in NGO sector. Today, for prevention of some cancers of the reproductive organs, vaccines are available about which the public does not have any knowledge. In this session, the promoters plan to discuss the mode of utilization of vaccine to prevent cancer of cervix.
