Pertinent to mention here that the closure of the educational institutions can serve to prevent possible spread of the novel COVID-19. Further, taking the severity of the condition into consideration, the authorities of University of Jammu have decided to close the University completely till 17th of March, 2020.
Besides, with the declaration of the COVID-19 spread as Pandemic by WHO and based on the advisories issued by the government in general and UGC in particular, it has been advocated to avoid frequent travel and gatherings. The confirmation of positive cases in Jammu and the increasing number of suspected carriers calls for increased vigil and necessary action well in time.
