3/12/2020 10:07:14 PM
Early Times Report

Mendhar, Mar 12: There are no takers for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan in Mendhar as heaps of garbage are lying scattered everywhere in the town with Rural Development Department (RDD) Mendhar looking as a mute spectator.
The much talked about PM’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan proved a non starter in the town as nobody showed any interest in cleaning the town of Mendhar with the result the filth and garbage not only lies scattered everywhere but it has caused health hazards and people apprehend spread of epidemic in case the immediate steps of cleaning the town are not taken by the authorities.
Residents said that the dirty water coming out of the main chowk Mendhar flows on the Mendhar Bus Stand and there are pools of water along the main road but no one in administration takes cognizance of the same.
People alleged that till date, neither the district administration and nor the Rural Development Department Mendhar has taken any concrete step to ensure proper arrangement of this toxic and dirty water which flows through the main road.
Chairman, Mendhar Youth Club, Advocate Nadeem Rafiq Hussein Khan said that the RDD Mendhar has not paid any attention to this problem till date. “This revels the functioning of the RDD of Mendhar, which is responsible to maintain the city and its cleanliness,” he added
