| LIC employees stage protest | | |  Early times Report
Jammu, Mar 13: The joint Front consisting of LIC Class-1 officers under the banner of the Federation of LIC Class I Officers’ Associations, Development officers under the banner of National Federation of Insurance Field Workers of India and LIC Employees under the banner of Northern Zone Insurance Employees’ Association held massive demonstrations in LIC offices of Jammu and Kashmir today on 13-03-2020 during lunch recess as a part of Nationwide call demanding early and satisfactory settlement of wage revision. The demonstrations were jointly led by Vijay Kumar Khajuria, Secretary LIC Class-1 Federation, Rakesh Magotra, Secretary NFIFWI and Comrade Pawan Gupta Divisional Secretary NZIEA Srinagar Division. The strike at Srinagar was led by President NZIEA Com. A.M.Tantray, Ajaz, Fyaz Gul, Amarjeet Singh, and others. The Joint Front of these three major unions representing over 90 per cent of LIC officers and employees while speaking at LIC office DO Cell Jammu said that it was a serious concern that there is the inordinate delay in resumption of wage negotiations. Even after addressing a Joint Letter to Chairman, LIC on 15th of February 2020 on the resumption of negotiations, there was no response from the management. The demonstration noted that today even the greatest detractors of public sector would admit that LIC is the finest financial institution in the country due to the dedication and commitment of its workforce. |
