ASKPC hails Law Commission recommendations

JAMMU, Mar 13: Hailing the recommendations of Law Commission, All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference(ASKPC) recommending the blanket ban on alienation of property of internally displaced persons.
According to press release, a meeting of ASKPC was held today on 13/03/2020 at ASKPC Bhawan at Durga Nagar under the chairmanship of its President Adv. Ravinder Raina.
The recommendation of the Law Commission is an eye opener for the Administration and needs immediate attention to curb this menace and the internally displaced persons who seek restoration of the land, the Revenue officers at the Tehsil and Sub- Divisional Level should help them by evicting the encroachers from the area and those violating the acts should be brought to book and District Magistrate should be made accountable for the same.
Dr. T.K. Bhat General Secretary further reiterated that number of times the organization has approached to Govt. of India to declare KPs as internally displaced persons instead of migrants as we have not left our homes and hearths as per our choice, rather we have hounded out from our home land.
Those present in the meeting were R.K Wangnoo, C.L .Bhat , Ravi Raina, O.N.Koul beside others.
