PNBMT organizes meeting | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 16: Prem Nath Bhat Memorial Trust (PMBMT) today organised a meeting of its core members to take stock of the recent political developments and also to chalk out strategies for the smooth passage of the Temples and Shrines Bill for which the KP community and the trust is relentlessly struggling for the last more than a decade. Secretary Sundri Lal Koul apprised the members about the activities of the trust undertaken in the last one month and invited the members to make there presentations and also to suggest their views for the future course of action. The members expressed concern that the previous political dispensations and even the present ruling establishment in the state is not displaying any sense of urgency in a matter that is so very critical to the socio cultural existence of a people. The members expressed dismay that only lip service and false promises have been made all along in the past regarding the Passage of the Temples and Shrines Bill. Members said that when there can be an Auqaf act and Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee Act why not a Kashmiri Pandit Temple and Shrines Bill for the protection and preservation of the temples in Kashmir. The members of the trust who were present on the occasion included Roshan Lal Pandita, president PNBMT, Virender Raina President Panun Kashmir, B.L. Bhat Chairman Nagdandi Ashram, H.L. Bhat Executive Temple Committee Tral Anantnag, Sundri Lal Koul Coordinator Hindu Welfare Baradari Vessu, Shadi Lal Koul General Secretary PNBMT, Kashmiri Lal Bhat Advocate, Dr. R.L. Handoo, Bansi Lal Zar, Pradeep Koul Khodbali Noted Writer, Sanjay Pandit President Umabhagvati Asthapan and M.K. Bharat Writer. |
